The story
In order to get this lot, we had to wake up very, very early. 60kg heading to Europe and we snatched everything. This Sudan Rume, you will not easily find it anywhere else!
Diego is a 5th generation coffee producer. He was living in Barcelona and was going on with his life when his father, legendary producer Gilberto Baraona sadly passed away. Diego was at a crossroad: sell the family farm or take it over. Honoring his roots, Diego chose the latter, keeping the good stuff flowing and forging his own heritage.
One of the latest addition to Los Pirineos, Sudan Rume is a variety originally found in Ethiopia and already accustomed to the championship scene. There's a lot of similarities between Sudan Rume and Gesha, namely its very low yield and its very distinctive and super complex flavor profile. A real must-try!
