The story

What? Coffee from Thailand? Indeed and very surprising on top of that! We've been looking to add Thailand to our listing for a few years now and we can proudly say we've done it.
One needs to know that it is very hard to source coffee from Thailand. First, the domestic demand is very high (just go there and count the coffee shops, they're everywhere, seriously it's ridiculous) and on top of that there are many barriers to exportation. In the country coffee is grown in the north because of the climate and higher altitude. It's the former King who encouraged domestic coffee culture after the opium crisis.
This lot comes from Chiang Rai Province, deep in the north and was cultivated by a local community. In the cup we love its rich sweetness and reassuring profile making it the perfect choice as an everyday coffee!
